Winners for the {Zaara} Sim Contest!

With 242 entries, we had a very difficult time choosing the winners. We'd like to thank all of you for participating and supporting us. You have no idea how much it means to us.

The reason we chose these was simple, because everyone had the same sim to photograph, however these four saw things just a little bit differently. We were blown away. Thank you so much for the time and effort you spent on the sim and creating such wonderful art with it.

We know we've already picked the winners, but some pictures really stood out for us and we couldn't just let them go without something. So here are some honorable mentions that caught our attention and will receive a special little prize:

{Zaara} Sim Contest!

We are announcing an inaugural contest to celebrate the opening of the {Zaara} sim. There will be L$10,000 in prizes!!! Visit the sim and take a picture anywhere you like, then post to your flickr and add it to the {Zaara} flickr group. Don’t forget to tag your pic with ZaaraSimContest. For phototaking ease you can rezz anything on the SIM with a 30 minute autoreturn. So please feel free to use pose stands, lights, etc… We also know some of you have already visited us and taken some pics, remember to add the tag ZaaraSimContest to them when submitting them for the contest.

Contest ends on January 31st 2009 @ midnight SLT.
Three prizes will be awarded:
- The 1st place winner will receive L$5000 and will have their picture displayed in the store for the month of February.
- The 2nd place winner will receive L$3000
- The 3rd place winner will receive L$2000

FEW RULES TO KEEP IN MIND:
> Make sure to tag your entry with ZaaraSimContest or it will not be eligible.
> Post processing of images is allowed and encouraged.
> Nudity is acceptable, however pornography/offensive images will be removed.

HOW TO ENTER:
1. Take a pic anywhere on the {Zaara} sim.
2. Create a flickr account for free at flickr.com and upload your images to your stream.
3. Join the {Zaara} flickr group at this address and submit your entry: www.flickr.com/groups/zaara
4. Remember to tag your entry as ZaaraSimContest or it will not be eligible.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that came out to the sim opening party. As you can see from the picture it was packed and lagtastic!
{Zaara} completed one year on 2nd of Jan, from a small 10x10 prim shop to an entire Sim... it has been a crazy ride.

I'd like to thank Tesla Miles who offered me my 1st mainstore space... she must have a humongous heart to allow someone to build a store surrounded by elephants.

My fabulous friend/manager/grieving victim Strawberry Singh actually deserves a separate blog post because she is so quotable.... but on a serious note, she has been with me and by my store from the 2nd day I opened. And she thankfully never left and put up with me as we moved from strength to strength, giving me advice and just being there (though she eventually gets pushed off the sky box when she's not looking) <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="">

A gold edition has been added along with the original one in silver.
This empire length gown with its sweeping trail is entirely hand drawn and works with most AO's.

{Zaara} : Sim Opening

On Monday, January 12th @ 10am SLT the all new {Zaara} sim will finally be opened to all :) Join us as we celebrate this occasion with an opening party at the Nasha lounge, I will be handing out party favors to all those who attend.
